It really does seem like the weather is turning here. Turning seems like the right description actually. From Provost's lodge you can notice when the thames is turning. The current churns and it is the only time when waves crash on the banks. Like this, the weather has been going from gusts to lightening to scorching and back again so many times over the last couple of days, it brings new meaning to the song "four seasons in one day" I quickly tap the wooden desk as I note that it hasn't snowed yet...
Nope, no snow. Maybe it's politely waiting till I get outside.
I thought there was a football match on in trafalgar square as I walked to the internet place. I have found out that there is a protest on to do with the israel/palestine thing. Not sure who they are cheering/jeering for but it puts the Auckland crowd at Eden park to shame.
As far as jobs go, the situation has moved from the sublime to the corblime! I missed a call yesterday morning and the message on my voice mail was a very excited woman from JPA and associates (recruitment company) she was "very keen to talk" with me and so I called back. I don't know exactly which little detail about the conversation ... actually I don't know how to describe it so I will note down the key details so you can digest them all at once like I did...
1. The Position is with Sitel!
2. The position is in Watford. End of Metro tube line 1.30 hour commute
3. I am overqualified, so she wasn't going to put me forward for the position.
She (maritia) said that she would contact Sitel and see if there was anything else going that would suit me more and call me back ... no call.
I have discovered a neat little job site specifically with the kind of jobs that I want. Have applied for a bunch and am waiting to hear.
that is all I know.
The sun is shining now so I will make a bolt for Provost's house before the inevitable Hail or Hurricane (apparently the weather will be calming down late next week)
